Core content

Walking, umbrellas, plants, animals, gifts, carrying, eyeglasses, hearing support, and public space.

Required reading

Donin on Shabbat; a current Orthodox Shabbat manual approved by the rabbi; siddur sections for Kabbalat Shabbat, Kiddush, services, and Havdalah.

Write 150–250 words: “How should this week’s learning change the way I live?”

Record attendance, practice completed, uncertainties, and one question for the sponsoring rabbi.

Rabbinic checkpoint
